To Post or Not to Post

As a marketer, I have noticed an increase in people turning to social media to pass the time by. Whether it is Facebook, Instagram, or now the popular TikTok people are on social media, and you need to be there too. Social media is more than just posting funny memes, it is connecting with your patients or potential new patients. Showing your brand, employee engagement in the office, the latest technology you are using, and what you are doing to make your current patients happy shows what is unique about your office.

social media

I had many people tell me they do not need social media. I think it can be a few factors why someone says this.

  1. They do not care to learn what is new with social media
  2. Think social media is overhyped
  3. Do not think social media will bring in patients
  4. Do not know what to post
  5. Hard getting staff to engage
  6. Do not have time to post

Is Social Media Important

We have to accept the fact that technology is evolving, and we must evolve with it. Social media is not just for millennials, you have grandparents making funny videos now and getting millions of hits. I am not saying what you post will get a million hits or thousands of followers. But when you stay consistent with posts and create engaging content it shows you are a practice that is committed and wants to make a connection with their followers.

As a former manager that worked in a dental practice. I loved capturing moments at the office. Taking photos or videos of birthday celebrations, announcing our employee and patient of the month, or announcing the latest winners of one of our office drawings was something I looked forward to. Our patients even loved seeing our staff out at restaurants celebrating the holidays. This created engagement and discussions with our followers online.

Videos are a wonderful way to engage with patients by showing the latest technology or educating patients with the latest information in dentistry or how-to videos.

What are Insights?

Social media analytics allow you to learn what your audience cares about. The purpose of your analytics is to help you understand how people engage and interact with your post, so you can create more of the same content. Without checking the data, we will not know what is working and what we need to improve.

Employee Engagement is Important to your Success

Are your employees motivated when they come to work?

We cannot control the way an employee feels at work. We cannot demand engagement, job satisfaction, or motivation in the workplace. But investing in employee engagement, your company will be able to increase productivity, work quality, and retain top talent. Have you asked yourself or noticed, are your employees motivated when they come into work?

teamwork

BEFORE STARTING YOUR DAY

Before we go into work, we need to come in with a fresh and positive attitude. When we leave our home, sometimes things happen. Our whole mindset can change immediately. The kids may have been a handful in the morning, you argued before you left home with your partner, someone cut you off in traffic, or there’s even traffic and now you are late to work. The list can go on. I have been there.

When you come into work your staff or employees notice it immediately. You know the saying. “You never know what someone is going through.”Asking an employee or even your boss, “Is everything ok” works wonders. My former boss and I would vent about something and after we would laugh and say, “that feels much better” and continue our day. No matter what happens before you start your day at work, you have the “POWER” to change and go in with a “Positive and Happy” emotion. Going around the office with a bad attitude will not solve anything.

Stop, breathe and Change your Mindset.

meditation
  • Go to a room where you will not be interrupted for 10-15 minutes.
  • If you choose to visualize on your own, think of a restful place you have enjoyed or would like to visit. Picture it in your mind. Imagine how you would experience it through each of your senses. Hold that visualization for several minutes.
  • Take a few slow and deep breaths to center your attention and calm yourself.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Imagine yourself in a beautiful location, where everything is as you would ideally have it. Some people visualize a beach, a mountain, a forest, or a being in a favorite room sitting on a favorite chair.
  • Imagine yourself becoming calm and relaxed. Alternatively, imagine yourself smiling, feeling happy, and having an enjoyable time.
  • Focus on the different sensory attributes present in your scene to make it more vivid in your mind. For instance, if you are imagining the beach, spend some time vividly imagining the warmth of the sun on your skin, the smell of the ocean, seaweed, and salt spray, and the sound of the waves, wind, and seagulls. The more you can invoke your senses, the more vivid the entire image will become.
  • Remain within your scene, touring its various sensory aspects for five to ten minutes or until you feel relaxed.
  • While relaxed, assure yourself that you can return to this place whenever you want or need to relax.
  • Open your eyes again and then rejoin your world!

Branding Your Business

Elements of a Brand

Your Brand is Your Reputation

Brand identity is the collection of all elements that a company creates to portray the right image to its consumer. Brand identity is different from “brand image” and “branding,” even though these terms are sometimes treated as interchangeable. The term branding refers to the marketing practice of actively shaping a distinctive brand. It is the perception of the company in the eyes of the world. Your brand tells someone what to expect before they decide if you are the person they want to do business with.

Have you asked yourself the following questions?

  • Why did we start this business?
  • What are the beliefs and values that are important to us as a company?
  • What do we do better than anyone else?
  • What makes us special?
  • If we could describe our brand in three words, what would they be?
  • What are the three words we would want our customers to use to describe us?

Choosing the Right Color

When you decide on color do you choose your favorite, have input from others, look at other offices/ businesses for inspiration, or find the meaning of colors and decide?

Colors in the workplace can improve productivity, relieve fatigue, as well as contribute to better visibility and a more cheerful mentality.

Red is the color of fire and blood so it’s often associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, passion, and love.

Orange gives feelings of enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.

Yellow is the color of sunshine. It’s associated with joy, happiness, intellect, strength, adventure, and energy.

Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, and freshness.

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth, stability, and loyalty. It symbolizes trust, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, and truth.

Purple combines the stability of blue and the energy of red. It’s often associated with royalty because it symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, and ambition. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, and mystery.

White – White is associated with light, cleanliness, goodness, innocence, and purity.

Black – Black is associated with power, elegance, and formality.

QR Generators

What is a QR Code?

This is the digital age where technology is changing daily. With smartphones, we can now do just about anything we want. When you wanted to exchange information with someone, we had business cards. While we still use them, more people are using QR-generated codes to take people straight to their information with a click of a button.

A Business QR Code is a QR Code solution that creates a business page for your company. It functions as a landing page with a customizable CTA (call to action) button that directs users to a particular area of your own website, or whichever content you would like users to view.

Testimonials

The Best in the Business is what I would use to describe Keyanna! She is professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. She touches the heart of all she encounters. She is a gem to have on anyone’s team… Her work ethics are outstanding. In the scary world of dental, an individual like Keyanna is a huge asset as she will go the extra mile to even hold your hand if you are afraid. It is a pleasure to have known her at my dental office. -H.T.

I worked with Keyanna for over 10 years, she was my manager at the dental office. I am blessed with a manager like her. She is a leader, a hard worker, and cared about our patients. She handled the marketing for the office with office photography, patient gifts, social media posts, and employee engagement. -L.G.

Great Newsletter! I am so happy to be patient and a big fan of this practice! –T.M.

My family and I had the pleasure to have an outstanding, amazing photoshoot session. Keyanna was punctual, professional, and one of the biggest things that I loved the most, was her taking the precautions to keep our family safe during this pandemic. She wore her mask the entire time, washing her hands frequently, and making sure we were staying along with or practicing social distancing was a plus for me. I was completely comfortable with the process and so was my family. Our photos are beautiful, and I thank you for making memories. I have already confirmed our Spring photoshoot outdoors. -Kimberly
