Hiring the Right Team
In order to run a practice, you need a good team who is motivated and engaged to bring success. Are you having trouble keeping staff? As a former manager and dental recruiter, I have witnessed a constant change in staff, rude staff answering the phones, and staff who told me that we’re not willing to learn new things.
Patients wonder what happened to the nice girl or they remember the mean one and don’t return. Patients like coming in and seeing the familiar and happy staff. You become part of your patient family. You watch generations come and grow with your practice. Your patients are the ones who talk about you. They either let people know you’re the best or they made a bad choice with coming to your practice.
When hiring staff, are you hiring because you are desperate and need help? taking the time to review resumes and check credentials, or do you hire some with experience? Does the team member have the knowledge and skills to perform the job? Is there communication in the office? Is everyone on the same page? Do you listen to your staff and respect one another to acknowledge everyone’s opinions.
Setting SMART goals means you can clarify your ideas, focus your efforts, use your time and resources productively, and increase your chances of achieving what you want in your practice. Let’s work together and get your team back on track.
